Passmarked is a South African based startup that was launched privately in December 2015. The startup gives website owners developers and users transparent and a single platform to gauge how the website works. The startup came out of open beta. It showed its willingness for a test and partnership with the world renowned internet groups. Furthermore, the startup gives quality guidance on how a website can work better. This is in relation to codding, security and compatibility.
Four criteria are put in place to test on how best a website can work. This includes SEO, compatibility, performance, and security. The system is then able to give a good report in a short time. The report entails unbiased fixes, errors and alongside suggested after the test. The formal launching of the product took place in March 2018. During the launch, it got above 640 votes from tech lovers who came from six continents globally.
It is challenging for one to come up with a single platform that contains all the current web standards and best practices. This is because it calls for a lot of work and partnership. This is according to Mark McChlery, the startup’s chief executive officer (CEO). But this is what is required to gain an open, universal and accessible internet community. This will then help in offering solutions to the internet problems in a more simplified manner than before.
Passmarked is on the road to launch some new and unique features. This includes DNS Server Security checks and Lighthouse PWA integration. Moreover, it is planning to launch a feature that can be found in all environments or phases of the website developing process. Initially, the startup was only used to test live websites. But it can now be used during the process of building and testing before activating the website. The brains behind the formation of Passmarked platform worked tirelessly for four years. Furthermore, they involved the community before coming up with the startup. After the approval by a number of credible sources, the website is now ready to go public.
