Pebec Reportgov.ng: The Nigerian App That Helps to Improve Doing Business

TechInAfrica – In order to improve the development of business space in the country, the Nigerian government has been actively taking some significant actions. This includes the app that has been launched recently by the West African country’s federal leadership. The app is expected to help Nigerians in doing business.

The app, Pebec Reportgov.ng, was officially launched in Lagos by the Minister of Industries, Trade, and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah. It was done during the Regulatory Conversations 3.0 event under the theme: Improving Transparency and Ease of Doing Business in Nigeria.

The Ministry said that the app is designed to facilitate Nigerians who want to interact with Ministries, Agencies, and Departments within the areas of service delivery and complaints resolution. The app will be the medium platform in which the MDAs policies implementation will get feedback from the public.

According to Pebec Council member, Adedotun Sulaiman, the launch of the Pebec app is one of the government’s commitments to addressing challenges faced when doing businesses in the country. Through the app, citizens can channel through reservations to the appropriate quarters for prompt resolution.

Dr. Jumoke Oduwole, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Industries, Trade, and Investment said that the app was the outcome of the Executive Order 01 by the Muhammadu Buhari administration. It’s rolled out under the Order’s “Ease of Doing Business” which highlights the transparency and efficiency in the Nigerian business environment.

“Many have taken up the challenge to deliver more transparent and efficient services to their customers in alignment with EO1, with a number of notable milestones achieved, such as an increase in the number of MDAs that have functional websites containing detailed information about their services or statutory functions, as well as improved collaboration among MDAs,” said Oduwole.

The Pebec Reportgov.ng mobile app is currently only available on Play Store and will be included on the Apple Store soon.
