TechInAfrica – Huawei has brought new features and upgrades to its Petal Maps application for African users.
Called ‘Advanced Navigation’. Users can see navigation even when opening other apps with their floating window. Any objects that could interrupt a user’s driving will be assisted by the app with its intelligent updates that analyze the local terrain.
Another upgrade is ‘Co-created Maps’, where users can review a place with text, images, and ratings, which can be accessed by other viewing users as well for reference.
The ‘Saved Places’ feature allows users to pick a place as a favorite and saved them in the list, and the place can be renamed to the users’ liking.
To get these updates you can set the app to automatically update on the settings, or let it manually update.
The app is available on HUAWEI AppGallery and Google Play Store.
