Tays has raised a 7 figure investment sum from angel investors within Egypt’s startup ecosystem. This will see the startup resume operations across Egypt and the MENA region. The new round of investment has seen prolific figures join the startup’s board among them are the Business Development Manager at Google Ireland, Founder & CEO of O7 Therapy, and facility & Procurement Director at El Ahly Capital.

After a year’s worth of development, Tays is a professional user-to-user networking application running a unique machine-learning algorithm to match individuals based on their professional interests and aspirations in helping people expand while maintaining their professional networks with a social and casual touch.

21-year-old CEO Sherif Bacheet, its CEO and founder said that the pandemic has highlighted the difficulty of creating meaningful professional connections hence the intention to launch their platform across the MENA region.

With an increasing number of jobs sealed through networking, career coaches point out the reduced efficacy of responding to jobs as opposed to directly reaching to hiring managers and enquiring about opportunities.
