Before the end of February 2018, South Africa (SA) will host the Global Legal Hackathon for the first time in history. The event will take place between February 23 and 25, 2018 in Johannesburg.

South Africa scheduled this event to pave way for its 2018 Innovating Justice Challenge. Southern Africa has hosted this event for the last two years.

The platform will join hands in helping on various concepts such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), blockchain and governance. The delegates will also hold talks on proper legal systems to follow while seeking justice, entrepreneurship, and innovation.

Themba Mahleka of HiiL Southern Africa views Global Legal Hackathon as the best event for Hiil. This is because it stimulates innovative thinking centered on justice. Additionally, he views the event as the best time that South Africans should participate in the global event. The event will hence prepare the startups to prepare for other events scheduled to occur later in 2018. Those who intend to participate in events such as Justice Accelerator program and Innovating Justice Challenge should not miss attending Global Legal Hackathon.
