TechInAfrica – #StartupSouth is the annual gathering event of successful startup founders, investors, policymakers, and general stakeholders. The gathering will take place in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria starting from October 29 – November 2, 2019. It aims at providing the opportunity for brands, organizations, and individuals to organize ideal contents.
The contents will be delivered in several formats, such as masterclasses, panels of discussions, fireside chat, and keynote speeches. According to the organizers of the annual gathering, they provide the venue and other venue logistics for free so that attendees do not have to worry about spending their money if they want to participate.
The Lead Convener, Uche Aniche, said: “You are free to organize contents such as Masterclasses, Panels, Fireside Chat, or Keynote on topical areas that includes but not limited to Education, HR, Health, latest tech (AI, ML, Proprietary Systems), Behavioral, Business Startups, Finance, Energy, Policy, Marketing, Sales, Lifestyle, Travel, Housing, Sports, Entertainment or any other area that adds value to the theme.”
This year’s #StartupSouth5 annual gathering will run under the theme: Unlocking the Next 60 Million. It will explore more about the economic activities in the regions according to the infrastructure perspective.
“We believe that the conference will be a good opportunity to engage with people in the regions – especially your existing and potential agent/network/community members. It will also feature a tour of Akwa Ibom state in partnership with Goge Africa,” Aniche added.
#StartupSouth is looking for content partners for the event. Aniche explained that content partnership would not confer on-premises brand visibility opportunities.
“There are plans to air the Keynote and a special Governors’ Panel Session on Live TV. Sponsorship plans start from N500,000. If interested in sponsoring, we are happy to discuss/explore more ways to achieve your corporate goals,” he said.
#StartupSouth is an initiative that goes with a mission to educate, connect, and attract investment or support to startups in the South-South and South-East of Nigeria. In other words, it’s a startup initiative which also a social enterprise that empowers entrepreneurship for development.
