TalentQL, an African incubator and outsourcing company just closed a $300,000 pre-seed funding round. Zedcrest Capital a securities investment company based in Lagos led this round with participation from local investors. TalentQL aims to hire, develop, and manage remote talent for international companies.

TalentQL is founded by Adewale Yusuf,(a co-founder of Techpoint Africa), Opeyemi Awoyemi, (Jobberman co-founder), and Akintunde Sultan (co-founder DevCareer). The Nigerian company aims to develop a pipeline of new talent for African companies and source top local talent for leading international companies.

Part of their business value addition approach is to increase the quality of life for their talent and reduce their operational costs to a third. They will create talent campuses across major cities, preferably close to tertiary institutions. The first campus is located at Ile-Ife, in Osun, Nigeria.

During its launch, CEO Adewale Yusuf described talent as “Africa’s greatest export” and needs to be developed and refined.

Zedcrest Capital is a trading company that launched a venture investing initiative called Ventures at Zedcrest to allow it to take part in pre-seed, seed, and Series A investments.  Adedayo Amzat is the CEO.
