The Africa Blockchain Center, which was recently launched under pan-African venture building studio Adanian Labs, is looking to build blockchain’s full potential across Africa where the newly secured yet undisclosed amount of funding will support The ABC in 6 African countries. The ABC is a Kenyan startup focussed on building Kenya’s technological capacity while offering blockchain solutions to key sectors announced today that have raised a 7-figure seed investment from Next Chymia Consulting HK Limited – an Asian company providing blockchain solutions and consultancy services in the training of global entities.

The Africa Blockchain Center was founded in September 2021 with a mandate to propel Africa into adopting the 4IR technologies by building blockchain programming capacity and catalyzing industry readiness by offering solutions to enterprises seeking to explore technology and incubate blockchain startups.

The new investment will help ABC set up structures across the 6 Africa markets of Tanzania, Kenya, Nigeria, Zambia, Uganda, and South Africa with the intent to build a new community of blockchain stakeholders offering knowledge sharing their best practice guidelines.

Irene Kiwia (ABC’s founder) said, “We aim to train 10,000 blockchain programmers, 5000 business leaders and executives on blockchain readiness, incubate 50 blockchain startups, and launch robust solutions for the market in the next 2 years.” ABC looks to correct the massive capacity gap in creating value through the adoption of this blockchain technology.

ABC plans to demystify blockchain technology while creating platforms where the industry can learn, and run research R&D programs. Adanian Labs is a pan-African smart technology venture studio on a mission to build, nurture, and scale over 300 impact-driven startups across Africa.
