The Africa Women Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (AWIEF) has said that registration is now open for its annual conference and awards.

On November 9 and 10, 2023, the legendary AWIEF event will take place at the Kigali Convention Center (KCC) in Kigali, Rwanda. This event is happening for the ninth time.

AWIEF has become Africa’s leading platform for entrepreneurship, innovation, and technology. It brings together more than 1,300 entrepreneurs and startups, industry experts, thought leaders, policy drivers, and change-makers from Government, Corporate, and Development sectors to talk about new ideas, digitization, strategies, initiatives, and solutions to drive innovation, entrepreneurship, intra-Africa trade, investing, food security, climate change, and more.

Last year, speakers included H. E. Dr. Monique Nsanzabaganwa, Deputy Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H. E. Dr. Rania A. Al-Mashat, Egypt’s Minister of International Cooperation, Solomon Quaynor, Vice President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) for the Private Sector, Infrastructure, and Industrialization, Jackie Jones, Director of the Gender Equality Division at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Iz (AWS).

Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, AfreximbankAWS, Africa Europe Foundation, and Sparkle were some of the sponsors.

In 2023, AWIEF will be returned to its full splendor, as before the COVID-19 epidemic caused it to go virtual and hybrid in 2020.

Irene Ochem, the founder and CEO of AWIEF, said, “We are pleased to have our 9th annual conference for the first time in East Africa, especially in Kigali, one of the most dynamic cities in Africa right now. We look forward to making this vital hub for business, technology, and innovation a better place to connect the African and global entrepreneurship ecosystems.

For a limited period, AWIEF is granting a 15% discount on all delegate tickets and exhibition bookings made before the early bird deadline.
