The International Finance Corporation (IFC) and Viva Technology have announced the second edition of the AfricaTech Awards.
This is an effort to bring attention to Africa-based companies that have devised innovative ways to solve critical development problems related to climate change, healthcare, and financial inclusion.
The 2023 AfricaTech Awards are part of IFC’s plan to help tech ecosystems in emerging markets by giving startups the money, knowledge of the market, and connections they need to grow.
Deloitte, a knowledge partner, will help pick the top 15 startups in each sector. After a second round of review by the awards panel, the top three startups in each category will be invited to join Viva Technology in June in Paris, France, where they will pitch their innovative solutions to investors, government officials, and top tech executives from around the world.
