The uYilo eMobility Programme is inviting qualifying projects to submit their proposal for the uYilo “Kick Start” fund. uYilo eMobility is an initiative by the Technology Innovation Agency to boost the adoption of electric vehicle mobility across South Africa through the launch of the 2021 uYilo Kick Start Fund targeting eMobility related projects. The intent is to see the ideas achieve market commercialization.

The Kick Start Fund supports electric mobility (eMobility) products and services developed by providing an agile mechanism that funds applied research and development to the tune of US$74,000.

Hiten Parmar, uYilo’s director shares the intent of having “localized content, promote local industry and encourage local job creation.” That, in turn, ensures reduced reliance on imported products and technologies while extracting maximum benefit from the continent’s minerals and other resources.

eMobility Programme welcomes all projects in the eMobility ecosystem and value chain. All applications must be submitted before 30th June 2021. You can drop your application at the uYilo website.
