TechInAfrica – Some new tools have been added to Youtube’s Premier feature. Even though the name has not been informed yet, it has performed on the platform with the Premiere since 2018. Also, it is adding elements or video such as setting reminders for the event and making a virtual lobby for viewers to wait in before the video itself exposes.
These features have been utilized when it comes to living streaming. However, now three new instruments have been added to the mix in an offer to assist creators to produce more buzz for the content.
On its blog post, Youtube announces that the platform has seen more than 85% growth in daily Premieres from over 8 million channels since March 1, 2020. Also, more than 80% of those channels had never used Premieres before.
Youtube adds that it will continue to allow real-time, communal experiences now more than ever. For that reason, the platform introduces three new features to help creators, artists, and publishers present an even more interactive experience with Premieres: Live Redirect, Trailers, and Countdown Themes.
Live Redirect
The Live Redirect tool helps creators to host live streaming as a pre-show in advance of a Premiere. When the live streaming ends, the live audience is directed to the upcoming Premiere before it starts. This tool is useful for creators who wish to provide a little behind the scenes.
Trailers
As the name implies, Trailers tool allows creators to upload a pre-recorded video that will be played on their channel’s watch page in advance of the Premiere. The platform informs that Trailers can be anywhere from 15 seconds to three minutes in length.
Countdown Themes
Countdown Themes tool enables creators to choose a pattern countdown for the Premiere across a range of themes and designs.
