According to a report by 6Wresearch, Africa’s cloud computing market is expected to reach around US$20 billion by 2025, with a projected compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16% through 2031.
The growth is fueled by the digital transformation across sectors such as finance, healthcare, and education, along with the rise in internet penetration.
In this rapidly evolving environment, South African Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) startup, The Awareness Company, is focused on driving cloud adoption across Africa.
Founded in 2018, the (SaaS) startup transforms business data into valuable insights that enhance operational efficiency and support sustainability initiatives.
The founders, Priaash Ramadeen, Shazia Vawda, and Estelle Lubbe, who previously collaborated in research, development, and innovation within the public sector, aimed to address real-world challenges through a SaaS platform.
“We chose to leave our stable jobs and venture into something new. Our vision was to develop a horizontal SaaS product that could serve a diverse range of organizations,” said Ramadeen, co-founder and CEO of The Awareness Company, in an interview with Connecting Africa.
The Awareness Company uses data-driven storytelling to improve the efficiency and impact of individuals, communities, and organizations.
