TechInAfrica – One of the awards received by Travelstart in the best cellular shopping experience category at the 2018 PriceCheck Tech & E-commerce award event. Previously on April 2016, Travelstart won an award in a different category, namely as the best travel agent in Tanzania in late November, the World Travel Award (WTA). The award ceremony was held last Saturday at Diamonds La Gemma, Dell’Est in Zanzibar, Tanzania. The winner – travelstar was chosen through the stage of public voting and the expertise of a carefully selected panel of judges.
As expressed by Pia Spratley, head of product Travelstart said that “We are very pleased to win this award the importance of mobile commerce is not new and we have sharpened our focus there for two years.” At the awards the best agent, the award are assessed by an international jury of experts hospitality and colleagues, presented to Travelstart Tanzania, the only online travel agency in Tanzania. At the end of the speech he added: “It can relate to where users are, what they think and what they do when on their mobile or tablet is very important to us.”
Travelstart provides users with a simple way to book flights, rent a car, and manage bookings at any time. In the application where the application has been downloaded more than 860,000 times. Also, it shows consistently to be featured as the top free travel apps on Google Play and Apple App Stores.
Mr. Pia Spratley once told the travel agent award that they are committed to change the travel booking industry by overcoming the complexity for travelers and suppliers who face including solving real problems as the continuity to overcome the growing and living travel industry in Tanzania.
