Visa announced a partnership with e-commerce logistics provider GIG Logistics (GIGL). The new partnership aims to introduce special e-Commerce tariff rates for MSMEs. This collaboration allows merchants signed up to Visa’s Small Business Hub to get direct access to discounted tariff plans on all logistic needs from their logistics service providers.

As reported by ThisdayKemi Okusanya, the Vice President of Visa West Africa affirmed Visa’s role as a payment enabler while highlighting their continued efforts in the support and sustainable growth of the MSME sector as the nation recovers from the economic downturn caused by the pandemic.

He went on to point out Visa’s continued support of African economies through strategic partnerships that help reposition the small businesses in their growth and recovery. The partnership with GIGL provides a platform for business owners to fully enjoy discounted offers given to the everyday consumer.

Mosun Suleiman, the Merchant Support and Growth Manager for GIG Logistics described their business culture as “powering decentralized commerce” and providing “support for African MSMEs” through various initiatives and strategic partnerships.

SMEs planning to join thousands of merchants signed to the hub can register on Nigeria’s Visa website.
