TechInAfrica – The digital experience of banking is only expected to normalize in the following years, and the Nigeria-based Polaris Bank only strengthen further the norm with the launch of its VULTe app, a digital bank service to cater to its online customers.

Digital services offered by banks, such as mobile money transfer had found a 12% increase from the 2019 report by GSMA alone. With McKinsey’s prediction that the number of Africans with bank accounts will skyrocket from 300 million in 2017 to 450 million by 2022, more banks are expected to outgrow their reach with digital transformation, such as the launch of digital services.

The Chairman of Polaris Bank, M.K. Ahmad said it is a clear milestone for the company of a strong and digitally-led retail brand, and that the fast-changing landscape of the financial service is what started Polaris three years ago.

Polaris Bank Acting Managing Director, Mr. Innocent C. Ike said it’s about total control- any service that the customer use, from account opening, limiting account setting, identity verification, biometrics registration, taking an instant loan, “You do it at your time, at your convenience, and on your terms – you determine how delightful your banking experience will be.”

All of these digital services are accessible to customers after inputting their Bank Verification Number (BVN) and submitting their on-the-spot selfies. If it matched with their BVN profile on the bank’s database, then the customers can start using all the digital features.

The app is available to download on AndroidiOs, and accessed on Web.
