In recent weeks, numerous reports have surfaced about WhatsApp working on several updates. One of the most notable developments is a new support feature in progress that would allow users to create usernames, replacing phone numbers for messaging.
Now, WhatsApp has started rolling out another update. This latest feature enables you to view people’s status updates directly from your viewers list. From the screenshot, it appears that you can easily access this feature by tapping on the ring around a user’s name, providing quick and convenient access to their status.
This update improves user experience by eliminating the need to switch to a separate screen to view a flood of status updates from all your contacts. It also makes it easier to keep track of who’s viewing your status.
Although this feature is still in development, you can try it out now by updating your app through the Google Play Beta program. If you prefer to avoid experimental apps that may have bugs, you can wait until the official update is available to everyone.
Additionally, WhatsApp recently released a feature that allows users to create GIFs using Meta’s AI tool. This new functionality, announced last month, adds a more creative and personalized way for users to express themselves on the platform.
