Meta’s WhatsApp rolls in a new feature in its recent update after noting the high increase in voice messages daily. According to Meta, WhatsApp Users send 7 billion voice messages daily thus inspiring this latest addition.
After its beta testing in January, the WhatsApp voice status function has been implemented which allows users to record and share voice messages as part of their status updates.
According to WaBetaInfo’s report, this new feature is only accessible to Users with the most recent WhatsApp beta with Android version 2.23.2.8 and iOS 23.2.0.70 version.
Users can now tap the microphone icon on their status screen and record as many voice notes as they want. The feel is more personal and also works as an alternative for users who do not wish to type or post an update using graphics
Like the regular status updates, Whatsapp voice status updates will disappear after 24 hours and can also be deleted by Users. End-to-end encryption is similarly used for voice status updatesClick here to read the original article
