Access Bank South Africa and Jacaranda FM have jointly announced the return of Womenpreneur Her Perfect Pitch for its second year to promote female entrepreneurial growth and innovation. The competition targets women entrepreneurs who have been in business for at least one year, offering them an extensive prize package and valuable business exposure.
During Women’s Month, the initiative aims to empower female entrepreneurs in South Africa, providing them with a platform to surpass barriers and foster the growth of their businesses.
Aspiring participants can visit JacarandaFM.com to submit their entries, detailing their business’s nature, significance, community contributions, and the assistance they believe is required to achieve their business purpose, as stated by Deirdre King, the managing director of Jacaranda FM.
This year’s competition combines a distinctive blend of resources from the banking and entertainment sectors to offer comprehensive support to womenpreneurs. The rewards go beyond financial incentives, as selected entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to refine their business propositions by perfecting their elevator pitches.
Sugendhree Reddy, the chief executive of Access Bank, expressed the bank’s commitment to supporting women-led businesses and understanding the unique challenges businesswomen face. By sharing their expertise and offering women a platform to refine their business ideas and potentially win a once-in-a-lifetime prize, Access Bank has partnered with Jacaranda FM to uplift Womenpreneurs.
The competition winners will receive extensive rewards, including substantial radio airtime, cash prizes, and valuable business mentorship. Moreover, the top 30 finalists will be invited to a networking event, providing an opportunity to connect with prominent brands and successful women-led businesses, fostering a robust womenpreneur community.
As a family-centric radio station, Jacaranda FM acknowledges the pivotal role women and mothers play in their families success. Last year, they recognized that mentorship was just as crucial to business women as the prize money, and this year, they have crafted an experience that integrates both elements in a significant manner, as emphasized by Deirdre King
Entries for the competition will be open until the end of August this year. The winners’ announcement will occur during a gala dinner scheduled for 2 November 2023.
