X Unveils Exclusive New Membership Tiers for Subscribers

Share

The social media company formerly known as Twitter, now operating under the name X, has recently unveiled two new subscription plans. One of these options is the Premium+ tier, designed for users willing to pay a fee to eliminate ads from their feed.

As per the company’s official announcement on the platform, the Premium+ plan, priced at approximately $16 per month, includes access to all the tools and services that the platform offers, except for advertisements.

It’s worth noting that, at least for the time being, this Premium+ plan will exclusively be available to users accessing the platform through a web browser.

Lacking the coveted blue checkmark, the standard tier is priced at $3 per month and includes advertisements.

To transform the platform into a comprehensive application, X also has plans to incorporate audio and video calling features for select users.

Elon Musk has been exploring various avenues to monetise the social media network he acquired in October 2022 for a staggering $44 billion significantly.

For a monthly fee of $16, the Premium+ tier offers the “largest reply boost,” ensuring an ad-free experience in the “For You” and “Following” feeds on the platform. This subscription offers crucial features, including post-editing, extended text and video uploads, and a “small reply boost.” The Premium+ and basic tiers are currently only available through the web interface.
