TechInAfrica – South Africa is the first African country to have access subscribe to YouTube Premium and YouTube Music as Google announced the launching several days ago.
What is YouTube Premium and YouTube Music?
For your information, YouTube Premium is a new subscription-based version of YouTube that requires you to pay some amount of money to enjoy several features like ad-free contents, downloads and listening to music in the background. You can also have access to exclusive and original content created by YouTube videos creators.
For South African who wants to try it out for free for three months, click here. After three months, you will be charged R71.99 per month and R109.99 per month if you subscribe to a family plan.
Meanwhile, YouTube Music is a music streaming service that allows its subscribers to listen to music on YouTube. Unlike the free YouTube version, YouTube Music displays a different desktop player and mobile app for music streaming.
This feature allows you to find contents like music videos, singles, official albums, live performances, and so on. Moreover, they also offer recommendations of playlists based on your genre, activity, and mood.
YouTube Music has two versions; Ad-supported and a paid membership one. The ad-supported version allows you to listen for free while a paid membership requires you to pay a certain amount of money.
